Introduction:
Development of reports using Data warehouse and database technologies along with proven track record of ETL.
What will you be doing?
• Work directly with Product Managers and business users on financial models, calculations and reports.
• Accountable for specific project deliverables.
• Accountable for front2back development across Business/ Regulatory/ Control demands including DevOps, Barclays SDLC, Security, Stability, Capacity, Resiliency, and Maintainability.
• Ownership and/or influence of change, project timelines, and architecture.
• Design, build, test, and deploy DWH application components.
• Drive the Best execution strategy for development and implementation.
What we’re looking for:
• A bachelor degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related.
• Extensive hands-on experience on experience in software development using Data ware house.
• Proven track of working in database technologies, SQL.
• Strong Unix, Shell Scripting, Autosys skills.
• Experience of working in a fast-paced and agile environment.
• Desirable to have experience of agile delivery in a data centric, regulatory environment
• Good understanding of Data Mart concepts with proven experience.
• Ability to design and implement logical and physical data models.
• Hands on experience with Source Code control tools e.g. Git Repo
• Familiar with scheduling management technologies e.g. Autosys
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum development team.
• Experience in CI-CD pipeline
Skills that will help you in the role:
• Able to work well with IT developers in multiple locations.
• Knowledge of software development ‘best practices’. Good knowledge of the software development life cycle.
• Analytical & Problem Solving skills – ability to investigate and resolve issues in a high-pressured environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multitask, Ability to train others.
• Good understanding of investment banking, and the industry sector.
• Good understanding of front to back finance and operational process flows.
